# RNBlocks vs FlutterFlow

> Compare FlutterFlow’s Flutter/Dart project workflow with RNBlocks’ React Native/TypeScript editing, native preview and release preparation.

Both tools can be part of a mobile app release workflow. Start with the framework you want to maintain and the way you prefer to edit the app: Flutter/Dart in FlutterFlow or React Native/TypeScript in RNBlocks.

## FlutterFlow exposes a visual project and generated code

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/comparison/rnblocks-vs-flutterflow#flutterflow

FlutterFlow documents a visual editor with widgets and properties, alongside tools for viewing Dart code, downloading the project and connecting GitHub. Its Local Run feature uses the desktop app to download code and test on a device with Flutter tooling.

That makes the exported project, custom code and visual editing workflow useful parts of an evaluation. Check the current plan requirements for the features you need.

## RNBlocks starts with a conversation and native preview

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/comparison/rnblocks-vs-flutterflow#rnblocks

Describe the app in Studio, review its generated React Native screens and ask for changes. Use the native preview to test the result and connect supported services for the features you want.

When you move to Publish, release settings, store copy, screenshots and build results stay alongside the publishing agent. Review the actual account, app and destination before approving provider work.

## Compare the complete deployment steps

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/comparison/rnblocks-vs-flutterflow#release

FlutterFlow’s App Store deployment guide covers app identity, account credentials and deployment from its Mobile Deployment settings. Use that workflow when your tested app is ready for a store build.

For RNBlocks, follow the publishing guides through account setup, testing and submission. On either path, make sure the build you tested is the one intended for release and that required store information is complete.

## Make one change in each workflow

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/comparison/rnblocks-vs-flutterflow#choose

Moving between Flutter and React Native normally means reimplementing interface code. Existing data and APIs need their own compatibility review; source export is not automatic framework conversion.

1. **Build a stateful screen** — Include loading, empty, success and error states. Try the editing approach you expect to use most often.

2. **Inspect a customization** — Add a small behavior that goes beyond the starting example. Check whether your team can understand and maintain the resulting Flutter or React Native code.

3. **Test on a device** — Check input, navigation, screen sizes and the connected feature. Include the setup needed to reproduce that test later.
